COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE ON VISA APPLICATION
1. Before application
1.1. Required documents

- Note for preparing required documents
· Please be aware of the validity period of each document. In general, only documents issued within three months of the application date are accepted.
· Documents written in Vietnamese must be translated and notarized in Korean or English. When translated or notarized, scanned copies and printed copies from scan file cannot be used. All copies must be printed on single side and on A4 paper size.
· The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City may request additional documents if it is necessary for examination.

※ Notices:
· The examination period may be longer than [Expected result date] depending on the judgment of the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
· The examination progress can be viewed on the Korea Visa Portal (visa.go.kr ). However, the update of the progress on Visa Portal may be delayed depending on the the Consulate General's situation(s), even if your visa application has been submitted successfully.
· If the examination period is extended and you have questions, please contact Call center of KVAC.
1.3. Application fee
- KVAC’s fee
· Application fee: 390.000 VND / pax
· Postal service (for receiving results): 60,000 VND in Ho Chi Minh City, 80,000 VND outside Ho Chi Minh City
· Copy and print: 2,000 VND per page
- Consulate general’s fee
· Examination fee: (Single) $20 or $30 (depending on the applying visa type), (Multiple) $80.
- Note
· According to the Vietnamese Commercial Law, KVAC only accepts Vietnamese Dong (VND).
· Due to limitations of system, KVAC can only accept payments in cash.
· The USD ↔ VND exchange rate is based on the declared exchange rate at cashier counter on the date of applying visa.
1.4. Reservation

※Note
· Your appointment can be canceled and you have to visit our center in person to pick the waiting number to apply for visa if you fall into one of the following cases:
I. If the applicant information on the reservation confirmation is different from the applicant information on the visa application document
II. If you apply for a different type of visa which is not allowed to apply advance reservation.
III. If you are late more than 15 minutes after your reservation time
IV. If you cannot show your reservation confirmation or advance reservation captured screen.
· One person can only apply advance reservation once per day. In case the same person apply reservation multiple times, the reservation may be canceled.
· Online reservation cannot be canceled once applied. If you want to cancel your reservation, please contact Call center of Korea Visa Application Center.
· Please prepare the Visa Application Form and required documents according to the type of visa before visit our Center. You can fill visa application form in blue or black pen.
2. Applying for visa
2.1. Location

Ground floor: Tourist - Business, Marriage immigrant - Family Visiting ( for those with Korean spouses living and working long-term in Vietnam), Study abroad, Others, etc
First floor: Travel agency, Family Visiting - Child support, Visa Issuance Confirmation

2.2. Business hours
· Visa application: 8:30 to 16:00 (Lunch time: 12:00 to 13:00)
· Application Results: 8:30 to 17:00 (Lunch time: 12:00 to 13:00)
· Off days: Saturday, Sunday, Vietnamese holidays, Korean holidays according to the regulations of the Consulate General
2.3. Receiving results
· Please bring your receipt and original form of ID to receive your results.
· Receiving result on behalf of applicant:
I. Family member (parent/sibling/child): require additional documents to prove family relation, such as Birth certificate, CT07, etc...
II. Spouse: Marriage certificate
III. Colleague: company's authorization letter (power of attorney), Labor Contract and copy of ID (requires original ID for comparison)
